In vitro PK Model

We design and implement studies to assess the pharmacokinetics of compounds in the liver. Through our partnership with IONTOX, LLC, we use the HUDMOPTM system to simulate blood flow among multiple organs giving us the ability to assess absorption and elimination routes in the body and effects on the liver.  The model and associated simulation software scale data and predict the absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion (ADME) of chemical substances in humans. The system enables us to models the pathways of compounds that involve the liver including:

  • Gut to liver
  • Skin to liver
  • Lung to liver
  • Liver to other organs

One organ may metabolize a compound resulting in the downstream organs being exposed to metabolites, or a combination parent and metabolites.  Our system can account for the effects of these metabolites in ADMET evaluations.
